About The Project

Let’s All Be Free is a cross-platform initiative that explores and celebrates what it means to be free.

We are a platform for creativity and debate; a film festival; an interactive website; a social media presence; a blog; an outreach program; and an aim to spread awareness of what freedom means to individuals across the planet.

Our Mission:

To open a safe forum where people from all over the world can discuss freedom’s many definitions and implications, and in doing so foster acceptance, discovery and further global understanding.

Why “Being Free?”

What it means to be free has perplexed humans for as long as we’ve been able to think critically. We’ve used “freedom” to justify war; write constitutions; deny other people rights; strive for equality; and consider our bodily and spiritual limitations as human beings.

Freedom is not an easy thing to define – one person’s freedom can be another’s status quo – yet it continues to influence our view of each other and the world at large.

It seeps into social, philosophical, economic, and political discourse, and so we pose the question – what does “being free” really mean? What does it mean to you personally and what does it mean for the world? How does freedom benefit us, and how does it make our lives difficult? Can we all aspire to be free? And what would a truly “free” world look like?

We don’t have all the answers – but collectively, we hope to explore, learn, and create peaceful understanding.
